About
A concert evening of Gypsy Jazz performed under the title „The Best of Gypsy Swing“. Behind it are singer Dotschy Reinhardt, a descendant of the Reinhardt musician family, and singer David Anthony Rose, who share a stage together in this setting for the first time. Both pay homage to the influences of their Sinti musical heritage: Reinhardt with her own compositions that draw on the Bossa Nova of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Toninho Horta and Joao Bosco, Rose with the Hot Club de France sound of Django Reinhardt blended with the swing crooner influences of his idols Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams, casting long-established Gypsy Swing standards in a new light. They are accompanied by the ensemble Manouche ´26 of international musicians, including Ariel Bart on harmonica, Alexey Krupsky and Dylan Vukasovic on guitars and David Hagen on bass.
