About
“Dreamland / Territorium der Träume” is a kinetic installation with object theatre without spoken language. Inspired by history, Théâtre Rude Ingénierie from Québec presents a fascinating miniature world: an amusement park made of numerous electronically controlled objects, among which visitors wander like giants. The thousands of mechanisms combine into constantly changing tableaux while also serving as sound generators and loudspeakers. The model is the amusement parks on Coney Island, whose section “Dreamland” first imitated European cities like Venice and landscapes like the Swiss Alps.
