About
"Transport: Fasten your Seat Belts!" is hyperrealistic puppet theatre in miniature format, part of the Europe-wide celebrated six-part theatre series "Transport", which explores the effects of mobility in a globalised world. The production comes from the Klaipėda Puppet Theatre of Lithuania, performed by Kęstutis Bručkus and Renata Kutaitė-Raudonienė and directed by Tin Grabnar. It tells of Megan, who lives the American Dream and receives a luxury trip into space for her birthday – yet from the distance of space, the contradictions of a torn-apart Earth stand out more clearly than she expected. In about 40 minutes, realistically designed miniature worlds, 3D-printed figures and a 3D soundscape create an immersive experience that asks whether space travel is ultimately an escape from the problems we create ourselves.
