"Losers" is a dance and performance event in the Festsaal at Sophiensæle. Behind it is Enad Marouf, a Syrian-German artist and choreographer living in Berlin, who combines text, dance and music through a cinematic gaze. The performance draws on texts by Walter Benjamin and Arwa Salih that write history from the perspective of the oppressed and the defeated, tracing a moment of political loss. Loss is understood not only as an ending, but as a question of what failed and how defeat might be rethought as a space of reflection and community.
