About
Ensonification: Ensemble Sonification of Temporal Data is an event in the Curt-Sachs-Saal of the Musikinstrumenten-Museum, in which time-based data from real phenomena are translated into musical structures and performed live. The Ensonification project is behind it, hosted by the Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung, and it combines science and music into an extraordinary sonic experience. A performance with local musicians is followed by a talk by Tristan Peng, further musical performances and a joint discussion. The audience is invited to take an active musical part and to gain new perspectives on how we understand data.
