About
"Erzählsalon Migration Special: Des Märchens Kern" is an evening of conversation with music at the Ephraim-Palais museum. It centers on Vasıf Öngören's book "Des Märchens Kern", with which the story of the Ararat Verlag began, one of the first publishers of Turkish literature in the German-speaking world in the late 1970s. With publisher Ahmet Işık Doğan and scholar of culture and literature Nesrin Tanç, the evening discusses the migrant literary scene and the relationship between literature, visual art and music, asking how this cultural heritage can be secured for the future. The book artwork "Hommage an Istanbul" is also presented, and singer Sema Moritz performs songs live with Martin Lillich on double bass from her German-Turkish music project "Sema & Taksim".
