Focus On: Shared Shores FOCUS 03 | Witness: Arctic Indigenous Voices
ACUDkino, Veteranenstraße 21, 10119 Berlin, Mitte
About
A film talk followed by a Q&A presents short films from the initiative “Witness”, in which Indigenous filmmakers from the circumpolar Arctic document the effects of climate change in their homelands. Behind the project is a short documentary training initiative that supports the work of these filmmakers. The 3-to-5-minute films do not aim to offer solutions, but to record the participants' perspectives and raise awareness of urgent issues that concern all of humanity. The programme is part of the 42nd INTERFILM Festival under the title “Shared Shores”, which reads borders as shared coastlines and places of encounter.
