Frau Leben Freiheit – Widerstand der Frauen im Iran

The event is part of the THFxFEMALE EDITION series by Tempelhof Projekt and deals with the fight for self-determination that began long before the Woman Life Freedom movement. More than four years after the movement began, it looks at Iran's history from a female perspective. Author Shila Behjat presents her new book about the poet Tahirih, who rebelled against religious rules in the 19th century and was executed in 1852. The panel also features filmmaker Armin Ghassim on his ARTE documentary and actress Setareh Maleki on the current situation of women in Iran, moderated by Shanli Anwar.
