A book presentation of „Ihr löscht das Feuer mit Benzin“ – Die Tagebücher Wolf Biermanns at the Berlin Wall Memorial. The historian Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk, a friend of the songwriter, is publishing excerpts from Biermann's extensive diaries on the 50th anniversary of his expatriation and his 90th birthday, presenting the book together with co-editor Arno Polzin. It tells of Biermann's life in the GDR and his sudden expatriation on 16 November 1976, which triggered an unexpected wave of protest. The talk is moderated by Doris Liebermann.
