Lesung mit Anna Schapiro
Mittelpunktbibliothek Treptow Alte Feuerwache, Michael-Brückner-Straße 9, 12439 Berlin, Niederschöneweide
About
An evening reading for adults with author Anna Schapiro as part of the series »Jüdisches Leben heute«. After the funeral of her legendary grandmother Sweety, Anna sets out to search for her family's untold stories, traveling with a recorder to places including New York, Boston, Arad and Haifa. Her conversations with relatives and companions tell of farewell, emigration and arrival, forming the material for a sweeping novel of Soviet-Jewish life in the 20th century. Registration is requested.
