About
A concert evening in the Kuppelhalle at silent green Kulturquartier featuring two acts from ambient, folk and experimental music. Maria BC is an Ohio-born artist living in Oakland whose latest album, Marathon, explores themes of resistance, environmental destruction, personal upheaval and decay through musical rawness and energy. Then Eli Wewentxu, a Mapuche artist and violinist from Wallmapu, and Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė, a Lithuanian kanklės player and singer based in Belgium, perform their album Después de llover together. Carolina Ovando, a Chilean artist living in Berlin, accompanies the performance with visuals that blend the two musicians' archive material with her own observations of water.
