About
A contemporary folk concert in an intimate duo: voice and guitar, joined by cello. Behind the evening is Istanbul singer-songwriter İdil Meşe, whose debut album „Günden Geriye Kalanlar“ tells of love and loss, loneliness, hope and the return to oneself, shaped by Turkish, Irish and American folk traditions. Playing with her is Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu on cello, also heard on the album. Her songs take center stage, alongside personal interpretations of nostalgic Turkish songs and room for poetry and improvisation in Turkish and English.
