Nacht auf der Sternwarte is a live-moderated night of skywatching with a 500-mm mirror telescope. The Archenhold Observatory in Treptower Park, Germany's largest and oldest public observatory, invites visitors to view planets, the Moon in fascinating detail, and deep-sky objects such as stars, nebulae and galaxies. Staff experts answer questions during the observation and share information about the celestial bodies as well as the technology and history of the instruments. Parts of the event take place in unheated rooms or in the open air, so warm clothing is recommended.
