About
"Sternenkieker" is an observation event for children aged 8 and up at the Archenhold Observatory. Together with others, participants use a telescope to search for stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. In clear weather, the moon and various planets are observed, and participants learn hands-on how to operate a telescope. If the weather does not cooperate, the group meets in the small lecture hall for exciting astronomical insights; warm clothing is recommended as the event partly takes place outdoors.
