About
"Nacht auf der Sternwarte" is a live-moderated night of observation with the 500-mm Cassegrain reflecting telescope. Visitors look at planets, the Moon and deep-sky objects such as stars, nebulae and galaxies, while experts answer questions and share information about celestial bodies as well as the technology and history of the instruments. The event lasts 90 minutes, is suitable from age 12, and takes place partly outdoors, so warm clothing is recommended. In poor weather, the artificial starry sky in the planetarium or in the Einstein-Saal serves as an alternative.
