About
"Nacht auf der Sternwarte" is a live-moderated night of sky observation with the »Cassegrain-Spiegelteleskop« reflecting telescope at the Archenhold Observatory in the middle of Treptower Park. Run by the operator of Berlin's planetariums, it invites anyone who wants to see planets, the moon and so-called deep-sky objects such as stars, nebulae and galaxies up close. Experts answer questions and share insights about the celestial bodies as well as the technology and history of the instruments. If the weather is bad, visitors instead enjoy the artificial starry sky in the planetarium or in the Einstein-Saal.
