About
A concert followed by a talk with the Wiesbadener Improvisations Ensemble at exploratorium berlin. The trio of Dirk Marwedel (saxophone), Ulrich Phillipp (double bass) and Wolfgang Schliemann (drums, percussion) looks back on forty years of improvised music together in 2026, having developed a nuanced interplay with unconventional playing techniques. Moderated by Mathias Maschat, the talk covers the ensemble's work, the networks and initiatives arising around the trio, and collective self-organisation in improvised music.
