About
A guided tour of the Schaudepot at the Akademie der Künste, offering an exclusive insight into its collection of architectural models. A permanent exhibition presents highlights of the collection, while changing presentations explore current topics in architecture and urban planning. Visitors can discover a wide range of designs and visions, from the 1786 replica of the Roman Arch of Septimius Severus used for teaching purposes and Bruno Taut's colourful glass building toy Dandanah to urban models of Berlin from the post-war reconstruction period to the present, with architectural drawings, photos and plans adding details to the stories behind the models. Access to the exhibition is only possible as part of a guided tour, and access is wheelchair accessible.
