About
A roughly two-and-a-half-hour architectural walking tour through Kreuzberg that starts at the Berlinische Galerie. Led by Berlin-based architects, it shows buildings from the International Building Exhibition in what was then West Berlin, including a bizarre studio tower and residential courtyards at Fraenkelufer. Using floor plans and planning material, it explores new housing concepts of the 1980s, renovation instead of demolition, and social housing. The walk makes the city centre tangible as a place to live and explains what makes special maisonette apartments.
