About
A Berlin book premiere at the Ephraim-Palais. The authors Erica Fischer and Simone Ladwig-Winters present their book about the Berlin photographer Eva Kemlein, taking the audience on a journey through her life. As a Jew, Kemlein survived the National Socialist era in the Berlin underground and afterwards documented the city's political and cultural new beginning. With her reportage and theatre photography she captured life in East and West Berlin, and her pictures remain important testimony to German history.
