Under Berlin Film Festival (UBFF) 2026 | Programme #4

This programme screens two films, „Mamma" and „Nancy Sport Laundry", as part of the Under Berlin Film Festival. The festival is the Berlin node of the Transterritorial Underground Film Festival and has run for five years as an independent, non-profit initiative, led artistically and produced by Peri Azar / Bies Culture (Spain). „Mamma" (Italy 2025, directed by Mike Montagna) follows the 40-year-old Marcello, torn between his suffocating bond with his overprotective mother and his love for Maddalena, on a painful journey to become himself. „Nancy Sport Laundry" (Argentina 2021, directed by Agustin Gregori) tells of an ice cream man's crime, the owner of a laundry, black bananas, bored young people, philosopher policemen and parallel universes.
