The public talk series 'Warum Kunst?' at the Berlin University of the Arts invites guests to an evening with contributions from Dr. Carsten Brosda and Prof. Dr. Christoph Möllers. Moderated by Prof. Dr. Markus Hilgert and Prof. Marion Hirte, it examines funding structures, political responsibility, institutional power and economic models of art production. At its centre is the question of how democratically, sustainably or exclusively the production of art is organised, and which cultural systems the future needs. The format is an open forum for reflection and exchange between artists, scholars, students and the public.
