About
This is a staged reading of Heiner Müller's play „Wolokolamsker Chaussee III – Das Duell“. The directorial study by Solaf Almusleh is read by Florian Müller and Noé Lausch, students of the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. Müller's 1987 text is written as the inner monologue of plant director Bötcher, whose deputy Helwig challenges him during the workers' uprising of 17 June 1953. The Soviet tanks that end the uprising save the rule of the SED, but at the same time destroy the hope for a democratic socialism.
