A guided tour of the exhibition „UNCOVER. Ostdeutsche Künstler:innen zwischen Zuschreibung und Sichtbarkeit“ followed by a panel discussion. Curator Nadja Schütt leads the tour together with the artists Karin Hunger and Tobia König; the discussion is moderated by historian Kerstin Lorenz. Two artistic generations meet in the conversation: painter and graphic artist Sabine Herrmann, who studied in the GDR and worked as an artist before 1989, and exhibition artist Vivien Schlecht, whose path began in reunified Germany. Together they talk about how different social and institutional conditions before and after 1989 shaped their artistic paths and the reception of their works.
