About

"DOLLY" is a gripping new play blending razor-sharp comedy with devastating truth, weaving fiction with fact. Stand-up comic Dolly has never thought much about the criminal justice system, but after one night she is attacked and places her trust in the system to catch the man who did it, no one listens. It is developed and written by Charlotte Ashton through the Royal Court Writers' Groups, directed by Anthony Biggs, and produced by PlayGC Theatre Company, with award-winning Jessica Clark playing Dolly. Urgent and timely, the play asks what happens to women in the absence of justice.
