About

An exhibition of new paintings titled 'EMALIE BINGHAM | Devotion Myths*' at Everard Read London. It is the first solo exhibition there by Emalie Bingham, a South African artist who currently lives in Bristol, UK. She collects, deconstructs and redesigns marks as symbols, developing a system of abstract signs whose meanings depend on interpretation. Her improvised layering and collaging of recurring forms poses questions about framing, visibility, belonging, transition, chaos, deviance and perception.
