About

Faustus and The Seven Sins is a theatre work in progress in which Faustus, four hundred years after selling his soul, gets one final chance to plead his way into Heaven by surrendering himself to the seven deadly sins, watched by Mephistopheles and a mysterious saint. It is the inaugural production of Seraphim Studios, a neurodivergent-led multidisciplinary theatre company founded in London in 2026 by producer Laura Jane Yee, writer, director and actor Jacob Rogers Proctor, and writer, director and dramaturg Robert Carey Elwood. Co-directed by Robert Carey Elwood and Jacob Rogers Proctor and inspired by Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, it combines physical theatre, live improvised music and direct audience interaction in an exploration of temptation, compulsion, recovery and redemption. The company reimagines classical texts through physical performance, live music, the Chekhov method and Theatre of Cruelty, with accessible and collaborative processes for neurodivergent artists.
