About

Gorgon Syndrome is a piece of physical theatre in which four women tell real stories of violence, joined by a Medusa waiting to be heard. It was devised and directed by Tatsiana Popova, Yana Alekseenko, Alana Ivory and Nadzeya Sheibak, and is performed by them together with Nela Agrenich and Sonia Rosa. Drawing on the myth of Medusa and blending physical theatre, ritual, original music and sign language, the performance explores how sexual trauma settles in the body, reshapes everyday life and survives in silence. It runs at the Etcetera Theatre at 265 Camden High Street.
