L’Antidote + Naïssam Jalal & Roberto Negro: Landscapes of Eternity
- Cadogan Hall
- from £34.50
About
A double bill at Cadogan Hall as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, titled L’Antidote + Naïssam Jalal & Roberto Negro, with the subtitle Landscapes of Eternity. The first set features L’Antidote, a trio of Iranian percussionist Bijan Chemirani, Albanian cellist Redi Hasa and Lebanese pianist Rami Khalifé, who blend Persian rhythms, Mediterranean traditions, contemporary classical music and jazz in a work conceived during the pandemic and recorded in southern Italy. The second half brings together flautist Naïssam Jalal and pianist Roberto Negro performing Landscapes of Eternity, a project inspired by Jalal’s travels through North India that explores the connections between music, nature and spirituality in the Hindustani tradition. Together the two ensembles offer a celebration of musical dialogue across cultures, traditions and landscapes.
