LIFEM26: L’Artefice
Blackheath Halls, 23 Lee Road, SE3 9RQ London
£30 / £20 U21s & Students
About
A concert by the early music ensemble L’Artefice exploring the playful virtuosity and artful inventiveness of 16th- and 17th-century instrumental music. It features ornamented vocal pieces, variations on popular melodies, and works in genres such as the Canzona, Ricercar, Toccata and Sonata. The ensemble adapts, arranges and creates music for their own instruments to foster connections with each other and their audience. They are Filip Rekieć on nyckelharpa and baroque violin, Leonardo Bortolotto on bass viol and Vincent Kibildis on harp.
