The Mini Ropery

The Mini Ropery is a drop-in, participatory event in which visitors can try making rope, string, braiding and knot tying. It is a smaller half-term return of The Ropery, a participatory exhibition about East London's rope making histories, co-created with designer Sanne Visser. Sanne Visser and Ropery Assistants will be on hand to help visitors explore the material processes of this endangered craft. Visser is a Dutch designer and researcher based in London whose work focuses on regenerative design and sustainable material innovation.
