About
"Hokusai: Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji from the Ichi Collection" is an art exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery in South London, the first in the UK to show the complete series. It is held in partnership with the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo and supported by the Japan National Tourism Organisation, presenting all 46 prints of Katsushika Hokusai's celebrated series, including three early impressions of Under the Wave off Kanagawa and a rare monochrome blue printing of Clear Day with a Southern Breeze. The exhibition also highlights Hokusai's early use of the newly imported Prussian Blue pigment, which gave his landscapes their depth and vibrancy.
