Daido Moriyama: Ink
Hamiltons Gallery, W1K 2EU London
About
Daido Moriyama: Ink is a gallery exhibition of photographs by the Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. It shows his large-format silkscreens, made in deep black ink, alongside other aspects of his work. Influenced by Andy Warhol's silkscreens, Moriyama explored duplication, repetition and mass production in images of Tokyo's streets, motion and American advertising. The works span his career from projects in 1960s Tokyo to later pieces, and include colour pictures, Polaroids and films.
