About

A live cinema broadcast of the ballet Manon, performed by The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House. Kenneth MacMillan's 1974 choreography is set to music by Jules Massenet and drawn from Abbé Prévost's 1731 novel. In the hedonistic underworld of 18th-century Paris, Manon falls in love with the student Des Grieux while the riches of Parisian society keep tempting her. This performance stars Yasmine Naghdi as Manon and William Bracewell as Des Grieux, with Koen Kessels conducting the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
