Phoenix Cinema, 52 High Rd, London N2 9PJ, UK, Hampstead Garden Suburb
About
Royal Ballet & Opera 2026/27: Carmen is a screening of Bizet's opera Carmen. Under the oppressive heat of the Spanish sun, the fiercely independent Carmen attracts the attention of Don José, who warns that his obsession knows no bounds. Damiano Michieletto's searing production returns, casting scorching light on the lust, violence and destructive desire of the ever-popular opera. Ginger Costa-Jackson sings the title role alongside Russell Thomas as Don José, with Sesto Quatrini conducting Bizet's electrifying and sensual score.
