About
A UK book launch for "Sean Lamass: The Lost Memoir", a lecture event at the Irish Cultural Centre. It presents the newly published memoir of Seán Lemass, voted in 2022 the best Taoiseach in the 100-year history of the Irish State, in which he recalls his political life, his meeting with Northern premier Terence O'Neill, and how he and British prime minister Harold Wilson heralded a new relationship between Britain and Ireland, along with his forecast that Britain would never be a fully fledged member of the Common Market. The memoir was edited by Ronan McGreevy, an Irish Times journalist and videographer from Co Leitrim, author of "Wherever the Firing Line Extends: Ireland and the Western Front", editor of "Centenary: Ireland Remembers 1916", and writer of "Great Hatred: The Assassination of Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson MP", the Sunday Business Post history book of the year.
