About
Spitfire Girls is a play inspired by the true story of the female Spitfire pilots of World War II. Written by Katherine Senior and directed by Sean Aydon, it follows two women who meet again at the Spitfire pub on New Year's Eve 1959 and recall how, decades earlier, they defied expectations to take to the skies. Funny and heartwarming, it is an unflinching look at an overlooked part of history and a powerful story of strength, courage, loss and hope.
