The Book of Mormon is a satirical musical comedy that takes shots at everything from organised religion to consumerism, the state of the economy and the musical theatre genre itself. It comes from the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, together with EGOT winner Robert Lopez, co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen. The show follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. It has won nine Tony Awards and four Oliviers, and has been called the best musical of this century.
