A jazz evening at the 606 Club featuring saxophonist Tom Smith and his hard swinging quartet. Smith, who has worked with Grammy-winner Maria Schneider and saxophonist Donny McCaslin, is also a composer and arranger with two acclaimed albums, his latest with his Big Band listed in the Guardian's top 10 jazz albums of the year. The set mixes his original music with favourite songs from jazz history, which he describes as taking the audience on a journey of soaring melodies, heavy swing and edge-of-your-seat improvisation.
