About

An exhibition of works by the Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, presenting new paintings and drawings, recent sculptures, and early works selected by the artist. Nara's figures with big heads and wide eyes are understood by him as self-portraits, and his imagery draws on his solitary childhood in rural northern Japan, shaped by nature, folklore, children's fables, and popular music. The show brings together foundational works from the 1980s with paintings from 2026, alongside large-format monochrome drawings, marking his first solo presentation with the gallery.
