About

A live music performance by pianist Axel Tosca at Arthur's Tavern in New York City. Tosca, a Cuban-born pianist, is known for a genre-bending mix of Jazz, Latin, and Timba music. Born in 1983 into a musical family — his mother is Trova singer Xiomara Laugart and his father is folk singer-guitarist Alberto Tosca — he began guitar at age four and piano by seven. Based in New York since moving to the United States in 2005, he has played with the Afro-Cuban All-Stars, The Roots, and his jazz band (U)nity, and released his debut album, Axel Tosca, in 2016.
