Fjord
About
Fjord is a feature film screened in a cinema in downtown Manhattan. It was directed by two-time Palme d'Or winner Cristian Mungiu and stars Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve. It tells of a Norwegian woman and her devout Romanian husband who move with their five children to a remote coastal town, where unease grows around their rigid beliefs until allegations of abuse force them to confront a system of judgment that blurs the line between concern and prejudice.

Critics
6.7Good
Critics praise the strong lead performances and the film's gripping, thought-provoking moral dilemma that refuses easy answers. Others fault it as bloodless, overwrought and underpowered, feeling the director's formal mannerisms never illuminate the subject.
