About

"ISCA GREENFIELD-SANDERS" is the exhibition "The Language of Flowers" at Miles McEnery Gallery, the artist's fifth solo show there. Isca Greenfield-Sanders presents new mixed media acrylic paintings inspired by the history of floral painting, gardens, botanical illustrations, stained glass, and photogenic drawings. For this body of work she photographed all her own reference images, creating watercolors that are enlarged, printed, and affixed to canvas before she layers acrylic painting on top. A fully illustrated catalogue with an essay by Bridget Quinn accompanies the exhibition.
