About

"We Can't Dream Alone" is an outdoor exhibit of four large-scale reproductions of paintings by Brooklyn-based artist Madjeen Isaac, installed along the Washington Avenue perimeter of Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is presented by the Climate Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Combining experiences from her homeland of Haiti and her upbringing in Flatbush, Brooklyn, Isaac explores how collective care, memory, and ecological knowledge are crucial to building a more just future. Her lush urban environments invite viewers to consider how relationships to place and community make us more resilient to personal adversities, social injustice, and climate change.
