Fragility: works on paper by Jim Hodges and Rauschenberg.

About
"Fragility" is an exhibition centered on paper itself—its incongruous and variable characteristics—as an artistic material, with paper sculptures, found papers, and works showing a range of processes. Curated by Kelly Montana, Associate Curator of the Menil Drawing Institute, it features artists including Jim Hodges, Robert Rauschenberg, Lee Krasner, Ann Hamilton, and Zarina. Among the works, Krasner reconstituted destroyed drawings as abstract collages, Hamilton stitched soft wool between sheets of handmade paper in her collaborative work poche (2014), and Zarina punctured paper with a needle in intricate compositions born of grief.
