An exhibition of works on paper by Elizabeth Murray, drawings that served as studies for the backdrop she made for the dance work PRESENT TENSE. The show grew out of a collaboration between Catskill Art Space, the Elizabeth Murray Estate, the Trisha Brown Dance Company and Works & Process, celebrating the partnership between Murray and choreographer Trisha Brown. Murray, an influential American artist known for her exuberant paintings and drawings, shaped animated forms and unusual shapes that drew on abstraction, cartooning and everyday experience.
