Many Faiths, One City: An Interfaith Journey Through Colonial New York
Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, Park Avenue 990, 10028, Manhattan
About
An immersive interfaith walking tour through the streets of Lower Manhattan where New York's story began, exploring pirates, prophets, revolutionaries, refugees, traders, and forgotten visionaries. It follows the footsteps of Sephardic Jewish refugees who fought for the right to stay, Lutherans who challenged colonial authority, growing Anglican influence, and African Muslims who carried their faith across the Atlantic. It is organized by Peace Islands New York and Ignatian Interfaith Ministry and led by experienced guide Kevin McKeever. The tour takes place rain or shine, space is strictly limited, and the meeting address in Lower Manhattan is provided to registrants.
