About

"No Such Place as Away" is a group exhibition of drawings, paintings, film, photography, wearable sculpture, and other objects shown in the Art Gallery at the College of Staten Island. It is the work of Mikhael Antone, Jimbo Blachly, Emilie Clark, and Sarah Davidson. The show explores our reciprocal relationship to the larger than human world, in works that are experiments in an ecological sensibility, holding that nothing we build, discard, or leave behind actually disappears but settles into soil, water, and air. It runs November 5 through December 3, with an opening reception on Thursday, November 5, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
