About

Captured Brushstroke is an exhibition of new collaged paintings by Robin Feld, showing works made between 2023 and 2026. Feld, a Brooklyn-based painter, has evolved from straightforward oil painting to a process using acrylic paint and collaged imagery printed on acetate. She remains close to her abstract expressionist roots, captivated by the geometry found in nature, with matte and glossy surfaces merging and patterns repositioned within the composition. The title work grew from a small watercolor done by a stream on Vancouver Island, its swirling linework blown up onto acetate.
