Shabnam Abedi and Joe Block

A free Lobby Stage performance at the Perelman Performing Arts Center. Multi-genre vocalist, composer, and arranger Shabnam Abedi joins pianist and composer Joe Block for an intimate set bringing together two distinctive voices in contemporary jazz and beyond. Abedi, praised by The New York Times for her "lovely warmth," draws on jazz and Indian classical music, while Block, a Steinway Artist, has been recognized by Jazz at Lincoln Center as one of "jazz's most promising young composers." Together they bring their shared spirit of musical exploration to the Lobby Stage.
